Frequently asked

What should I include in my message?

A short overview is enough: where the project is up to, what’s driving the enquiry (handover risk, defect volume, DLP drift), and your key dates. If you have a defect export or handover schedule, attach it — but don’t wait for perfect information to reach out.

Can you help if we’re close to handover?

Yes. It’s common to bring us in late. If you’re inside that 4–12 week window and close-out is getting noisy — rising defects, unclear ownership, documentation gaps, access pressure — we can step in quickly and stabilise the final stage.

What do you mean by “finish line” support?

It’s the stage where momentum drops and risk climbs: close-out, handover readiness, defects, and DLP. We add structure around that work — a clear plan, disciplined tracking, trade follow-through, and reporting that makes responsibilities obvious.

When is the best time to bring you in — and is it too late if handover is close?

Earlier is easier, but late is common. If you’re 4–12 weeks out from handover, defect volume is climbing, or the close-out process is drifting, that’s exactly when we can help. We’re used to stepping in without resetting everything.

Can you help if the project is already in DLP?

Yes. We can triage defects, reset priorities, coordinate rectification, tighten reporting, and drive final clearance. The aim is to stop DLP dragging out longer than it needs to — and reduce repeat visits by getting sequencing and ownership right.

Do you support projects outside Sydney?

Yes — across Australia. We can work remotely where it makes sense, and attend site when required depending on phase, access, and scope.

What information helps you scope and price the work properly?

The project stage, expected handover/settlement date, current defect status (and where it’s tracked), key stakeholders, and any immediate constraints (access windows, resourcing, warranties/compliance items). If you can share a defect export, great — if not, we can start with a quick call.

How do you approach defects when the list is already large?

We start with triage: what’s safety/compliance critical, what blocks handover, what’s repeating, and what can be bundled by trade/area to reduce rework. Then we set clear ownership, timeframes, escalation points, and a reporting cadence that drives action.

Helpful to include

  • Expected handover/settlement date and current close-out status.
  • Rough defect volume and where it’s tracked (even if it’s a spreadsheet).
  • Key stakeholders and who needs reporting (builder, developer, consultants, asset owner).
  • Constraints like access windows, resourcing, or high-risk areas.

Don’t wait for perfect information — a short note is enough to start.
